GreenSky Wealth in 2016 – A year in review

December 20, 2016

Christmas is rapidly approaching, and with that comes a few well-earned days off for us to enjoy some time with our families. But just before we disappear under a pile of mince pies, we’ve been looking back over another successful year. We thought we’d share the highlights…

  • We were granted planning permission for our new office – yippee! Barring any show-stopping news resulting from the archaeological digs that have been taking place (we’re right next to Norwich’s historical city walls), we hope to be moving in next year.
  • Ian Bailey joined us as a Paraplanner. He loves it, of course. What’s not to like?
  • Gavin had his one year anniversary with us. He loves it even more than Ian. The longer you’re here the more you learn to live with our foibles…
  • We were shortlisted for the Moneyfacts Investment Adviser of the Year Award. We didn’t win, but we had fun at the awards event.
  • Bob and Paul have both been shortlisted for Unbiased Media Awards. We’ll find out whether they win in February. A good excuse for another evening of “networking”.
  • Bob is growing a rather questionable moustache. He’s currently taking votes as to whether to go for a handlebar, a pencil or a full-on walrus-style ‘tache. We wait with bated breath to see the finished article.
  • Business is continuing to grow. Our portfolios are doing well. That’s despite a rather tumultuous year markets-wise with the outcomes of the Brexit and Trump votes both causing big, if short-lived, movements.

So all in all, another great year here at GreenSky HQ.

We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all our customers and loyal blog-readers for being part of our business in 2016. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2017.
